In recent years, we've witnessed an explosion in A.I. capabilities, reshaping industries and transforming the way we interact with tech, andΒ this is just the start! One concerning trend everyone should be aware of is the rise ofΒ A.I. junk.
From articles and blogs to social media posts and product reviews, AI-generated content will flood our digital landscape, often under the radar - without showing its badge. Some times articles and posts will look convincing initially, only to witness a lack of depth and accuracy. Other times, what we consume will sound utterly stupid and borderline ridiculous. We are talking about low-quality, misleading, and downright nonsensical content.
So, how do you navigate the A.I. Minefield?
Your best bet is to approach information with a critical eye:
Source Verification: Look for indications of AI-generated content, such as generic language, lack of authorship, or inconsistent information.
Cross-Referencing: Cross-reference content across multiple sources to ensure accuracy and reliability. If an AI-generated article seems too good to be true or lacks depth, seek alternative perspectives.
Human Touch: Value content created by human writers who bring expertise, insight, and authenticity to their work. While A.I. can assist in content creation, it cannot replicate humans' creativity, empathy, and intuition, so it might be better to follow credible writers and journalists as your primary news source.
Critical Thinking: Sniff the fluff. AI-written content is usually overexposed at this stage, sounding fake and sometimes childish. Question the validity, examine biases, and consider the motivations behind the text in front of your eyes.
Question the people you know:Β Now that everyone can access A.I. tools, you will most certainly witness friends and acquaintances posting things that don't sound like them. Question them in person to verify their affirmation, see if they sound as compelling as they might've been in their social media post, and draw your future conclusions.
Not all content is created equal, and we must separate the signal from the noise. Likewise, we are responsible for educating the potential victims around us, like our parents, who are the most vulnerable in this A.I. era. So talk with them.
P.S. For this exercise, the above post was initially drafted with Open A.I. It was laboriously supplemented and redacted by yours truly π

I am thrilled by the reception of yesterdayβs Day in the Life video with the Samsung Galaxy S24 Ultra! We put tons of effort into creating something interesting, resourful and chill to watch. If you havenβt had the chance yet, give it a glimpse:

Many may not be aware, but seemingly straightforward shots such as the one depicted below can often demand up to 30 minutes of attention, for example, capturing a feature in action only to find the resulting image disappointingly washed out and barely legible. Given the time-sensitive nature of the sequence, reshooting wasn't feasible. The solution rested in post-production, involving intricate processes like rotoscoping and many other edits to salvage and enhance the footage, breathing life into it. One shot of over 200 π€¦π»
Hello Mr. E! Being honest I havenβt thought of IA garbage flooding until you mentioned itβ¦ you are right, it will come to a point where we will have lots of hollow IA generated content and consuming good data from the internet will be more difficult.
Thanks for all the great content! I really enjoy all your videos and posts :).
God bless Mr. E!
