Important Note ⚠️
I'd like to extend my warm welcome 🤗 to all new subscribers. I recently realized many of you have opted for my newsletter via my online store, which is not connected to this platform. Since I had to manually import the contacts that have expressed interest in receiving my weekly rambles, I'd like to apologize if you ended up here unintentionally. I hope you enjoy this email!
Evolution through entertainment
I am constantly trying to evolve when it comes to my storytelling techniques and video creation skills. Part of the process involves observing (while enjoying) other creators in the space. Here are some of the creators that inspire me in various aspects:
Marques has a prominent influence on many, including me. Over the years, I have shifted my focus away from his crispiness (which few can even come close to) and commenced extracting lessons in being objective.
Arun is a beast in keeping people glued to the screen. I can't even fathom how much work goes into each of his videos. I can only try catching up on engagement lessons.
Oliur is the perfect example of creating Instagram-worthy shots. The monochromatic looks, subtle movements, and heavy shadows can keep me on my toes even if he remains quiet and says nothing.
Michael Fisher is the storytelling king in the tech space. His scripts and narratives remind me of Jeremy Clarkson in the early days of Top Gear. Plus, I find a resemblance in how we think, maybe because we are almost the same age.
I've always been a fan of Isaac. His recent transition to using the iPhone as the primary shooter for his storytelling techniques is fantastic. His appreciation of old tech also brings me back in time.
Daniel is an ad filming maestro. Few people can take a simple iPhone photo of an object and turn it into a 15-second masterpiece of an ad worth thousands of dollars.
Dylan has been my Final Cut Pro push for the last few months. From FCP templates to Motion graphics, I can always tune in to his channel and learn something new.
This kid Benny is from another planet. He is as fun to watch as he is exceptional at Photoshop mastery. Thanks to his work, I finally overpowered the pen tool.
I just want to invite Leo to Thanksgiving. He is an impressive young man who will go places. Leo nails it all, from killer Instagram Reels to photos that big brands pay crazy money for.
These are some of my favorite YouTube creators - people I keep learning from. Who are your favorite creators, and how do they inspire you?
What I am proud of this week
Last night I finally found the time to release a wallpaper pack that has been sitting on my iCloud for over two weeks. I called it Up Close V2 as it is a successor to my very first macro photography pack. You can check it out here:

After five (5) months of waiting, the Apple Studio Display is finally in my studio, and as you can expect, I had some thoughts 💭
The holiday season is right around the corner 🎄, so I figured it's a great time to share with you some of my favorite Mac Accessories that I've been enjoying throughout 2022.
My “favorite” thing so far
I skipped last week’s newsletter because as I was writing it, my neighbors caught on fire 🔥 Thankfully, nobody got hurt. I witnessed how a small community could forget any differences and join the fight as we were waiting for the big fire trucks to arrive. Buckets, hoses, pressure washers, whatever we had, we assembled 👊🏻
Favorite BTS moment
We added a fresh coat of paint around the studio. I call it 50 shades of gray, but in reality, it’s more like 25%, 50%, 75%, and 90% spread around in different sections. I got tired of all the white walls. The monochromatic scheme didn’t kill the vibe we all enjoyed yet added more depth and dimension, which is what I was going for. Hopefully, you’ll get to see the difference in all upcoming videos.
WOW! What a great statement.
